VANCOUVER BC’S PREMIER RESIDENTIAL PAINTING COMPANY
We bring the same painters, the same process, and the same finish standard to every job, whether it is a character home in Dunbar or a townhouse in Burnaby. Our crews know the housing stock in each of the neighbourhoods below because we have been working in them for years, and that familiarity shows up in how we prep, how we schedule around weather, and how we talk through colour and sheen with you before we ever open a can.
We paint throughout Metro Vancouver, covering the City of Vancouver’s East Side and West Side, the North Shore (North Vancouver and West Vancouver), and Richmond, Burnaby, and Surrey/Delta. Interior painting, exterior painting, wood staining, and drywall services are available across this whole area, with heritage and character home painting concentrated on the West Side and North Shore, where that housing stock is most common.
The West Side is where a lot of our heritage and character work happens. The neighbourhoods here are full of early twentieth-century Craftsman bungalows, Tudor Revival homes, and Arts and Crafts details such as original trim, wood siding, and built-in millwork. On these houses, we spend extra time on surface prep, scuff sanding and spot-priming bare wood rather than painting over it, because that groundwork is what makes the finish hold up on a hundred-year-old wall. We also work in areas where the mix runs from older single-family homes to newer infill and low-rise condos.
Downtown Vancouver brings a different set of jobs: condominium and apartment interiors, commercial-adjacent residential buildings, and the odd heritage warehouse conversion in Gastown or Chinatown. Suite turnovers and strata-managed buildings usually mean tighter timelines and more coordination with building management, which our team is used to working around.
East Vancouver’s older neighbourhoods were largely built up as streetcar suburbs in the early twentieth century, so a lot of the housing here is modest single-family and duplex construction with wood siding and original wood windows. Exterior work in these neighbourhoods tends to focus on properly addressing weathered siding and trim before repainting, since decades of coastal rain exposure take a toll on any wall that was not maintained on schedule.
North Vancouver and West Vancouver see some of the wettest, most humid conditions in our whole service area, and it changes how we approach exterior work. We schedule around dry windows rather than the calendar, generally from spring through fall once overnight temperatures are consistently above eight degrees and there has been a clear stretch without rain, and we hold off longer on shaded or north-facing walls that take longer to dry. West Vancouver in particular has a concentration of heritage and character properties, and we are an approved Vancouver Heritage Foundation contractor for that reason.
Richmond and Burnaby have a lot of newer construction and infill development mixed in with established single-family stock, and Surrey and Delta add a similar range of new builds and older suburban homes. Wherever we are working across these areas, the approach is the same: proper washing and prep, caulking and priming where it is needed, and materials suited to how much sun or shade a given wall gets.
No matter which of these neighbourhoods you are in, you are getting the same crew standards: clear communication before the project starts, a schedule we stick to, and surface prep that is not skipped to save time.
Yes. Beyond the City of Vancouver, we regularly work in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, and Surrey/Delta.
Yes. Heritage and character homes get more time in prep, careful attention to original wood trim and siding, and materials chosen to work with older building assemblies rather than fight them. Newer construction and infill still get full prep, but there is less legacy wear to correct for.
Spring through fall works best here, once overnight temperatures hold above eight degrees and there is a dry stretch to work with. Shaded and north-facing walls need extra drying time after rain, so we build that into scheduling rather than rushing it.
Yes, stucco surface painting is one of our regular services, alongside interior and exterior painting and wood staining.
We assess the existing surfaces and colour history onsite as part of the estimate, so we can tell you what to expect before work starts.
Usually just more coordination on timing and access. The prep and application standards stay the same; scheduling around building management and other residents is the main adjustment.
