Do you work with colour consultants?

We have an excellent working relationship with several colour consultants in Vancouver. Should you require a colour consultant, please enquire.

Do you subcontract?

We do not subcontract. Every painter working on your home will be from Dunbar Painting.

Do you have local references?

What are your safety standards?

We have fall arrest gear, including a harness to help secure workers. We have weight-appropriate, high quality, heavy duty ladders. In difficult situations, more than one person will move or set up a ladder to ensure no damage is done to your house.


We have an active account with WorkSafe.

Are you insured?

We have two million in liability insurance.

How many people in your painting crew?

We have some permanent staff that work year round, and we hire and carefully train additional house painters / employees for the busy summer months in Vancouver.

Have you done houses in our area?

We serve all of Vancouver, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver. We have had the privilege to operate in the following neighbourhoods: Kitsilano, Arbutus Ridge, Southlands, Kerrisdale, Shaughnessy, Fairview, Oakridge, Marine Drive area, Point Grey, Yaletown, the West End, Southlands, Marpole, South Cambie, UBC area, West Point Grey, Grandview-Woodland, and Killarney.

What products do you use?

Dunbar Painting predominantly uses high quality products from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams. However, we are more than willing to use products from any paint manufacture, including specialty products. We hold accounts with all local companies and are also experienced at using products from General Paint, Cloverdale Paint, and Sikkens in Vancouver.

What surfaces do you paint?

Generally, previously painted surfaces can be prepared and repainted. In some cases, areas that are not meant to have paint are painted, and they can be stripped. We are more than happy to advise you on the proper products and application techniques on a given surface.
